Charles Rice, MD

Dr. Rice completed medical school at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans followed by ophthalmology residency training at Wake Forest. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He finished an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship under Dr. Robert Kersten with subsequent membership in the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. His work background includes academic appointments and private practice experience which provides extensive expertise in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.

Specific areas of expertise include eyebrow and eyelid lifts, reconstructive eyelid surgery following tumor removal or trauma, and tear duct surgery. He is also experienced and skilled in skin rejuvenation with erbium laser skin resurfacing and intense pulsed light. His goal is to help patients achieve their functional and cosmetic goals with maximum safety while achieving a natural appearance.

He volunteers as an automotive mechanic for an organization that provides critical vehicles to those in need thus providing an outlet for automotive tinkering. He enjoys reading, cycling, hiking, flower gardening, vintage cars, and spending time with family.
