Removal of Eyelid Lesions
An eyelid lesion is a pathological change in the tissue of the eyelid. There are many types of lesions – most of which are benign or harmless. However, some lesions may be malignant or cancerous. An eyelid lesion may be pigmented or colored. These include relatively common disorders such as styes and chalazia, which are small bumps on our eyelids. Other types of benign eyelid lesions include seborrheic keratoses and papilloma. Depending on the type of lesion, it may require simple removal or it may require an initial biopsy and need further surgical planning for complete removal. These options will be discussed in full detail at your visit.
